My project Ephemera of Eternity is a multimedia experience the aim of which is to be as immersive as possible. Throughout this project I experimented with materials and ways to paint, challenging the traditional understanding of what a painting should be. My final pieces are simply painted on raw unstretched canvas, giving them the appearance of a tapestry.

A critical part of this project is its mixed media nature. I used fabric, beads and crystals to created soft sculptures to increase the immersion of the viewer into this fictional world. The paintings are likewise covered in shining crystals. In my experiments during this project I tried different ways of attaching the beads to canvas.

Unfortunately I don't believe that pictures can truly accurately portray what Ephemera of Eternity looks and feels like. The best way to experience it is in person. I am excited to see how I can push these ideas further in future projects.
